Links To Other Worthwhile Sites

In this section, you will find links to other sites of possible interest, regarding Croc, other games, gaming in general, and other various things that might be worth checking out. However, please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for the content of outside sites belonging to others - after all, we only produce the content for Croc: Hero of the Gobbos.

Croc-related Sites
Morpheme Mobile Ltd. - The new rights-holders of the Croc series. These guys used to be owned by Argonaut Games, PLC. (the creators of Croc), before they sadly went out of business. These guys have brought Croc back after a five-and-a-half-year period without him, in a new game called "Croc Mobile: Jungle Rumble". Be sure to pay them a visit.
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, at Corbac.com - A site featuring the entire soundtracks of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos and Croc 2, converted to MP3s from their original XA format, and put up for you to download. A must if you're a fan of the music from the Croc series!

Various Gaming-related Sites
GamesAreFun.com - A gaming news site, quickly becoming reknowned for writing excellent previews and editorials. Much media and information can be found here.
The Register - Technology and computing news, reported with an amusing, and often sarcastic, slant. Also features hilarious reports on evil robotic phone-booths and toilets attacking people, from time-to-time.
N-Sider.com - A great site for Nintendo news, updated regularly (usually daily). N-Sider also features some well-written features and editorials, as well as various collections of Nintendo-related information, such as listings of game credits, and official artwork for some games.
GamerFeed - A worthy source of multi-platform gaming news, covering all current consoles. The staff Blogs are also well-worth reading (particularly, in my opinion, Old School in Session.)
GameScience.com - A handy site that often posts up information such as the latest Japanese game sales charts and review scores, as well as regular gaming news from around the globe.
Dreamcast Lives! - Since Croc very nearly made an appearance on Sega's last console, it only seems right to link to this site, here. Dreamcast Lives! features a great collection of reviews, previews, articles, and all sorts of other Dreamcast-related content, as well as regular news updates.
Random Other Sites
The Official Bira Bira Webpage - The official website of the totem-god of classic video game collecting, Bira Bira. Here, you can read the Bira Bira Mythos (telling of Bira himself, and his evil arch-nemesis, Mr. Friendly), learn how to fend off False Biras, and the other allies of Mr. Friendly, check out stories about the good luck he has apparently brought to various gamers, and view images relating to Bira Bira, and the mythos behind him.
FROZEN ROADKILL COMICS!! - One of Forte Wily's old sites, showcasing the bizarre comics that feature the adventures of Frozen Roadkill The Hedgehog - the world's greatest blue hedgehog superhero. An odd sense of humour is probably required in order to find these funny.
Let's Face It. Nobody Was Fooled. - A hilarious page that talks about bootlegged arcade games, ranging from "Monkey Donkey" (a ripoff of Donkey Kong), to MOON RANGOR (a bootleg version of Moon Patrol, featuring a typo'ed 'Moon Ranger' for a name).
Talk Like A Pirate Day - September 19 - The official homepage of the made-up holiday that takes place every September 19th, whereby everyone has to talk like a pirate. ARR!!
Home English Home - A pair of extremely funny Flash movies, depicting a very weird and twisted English lesson for Japanese folks. Please be warned that there is some slight violence/killing in these cartoons.
DumbWarnings.com - A collection of amusing and often stupid warnings found on the labels and packaging of various products, from coffee to childrens' Superman outfits.
Urban Legends Reference Pages - Snopes.com features a large amount of information on various urban legends that have floated around over the years. Each and every legend covered features a usually amusing commentary, where facts are proven or debunked as neccessary. A great starting point for doing research into the phenomenon of urban legends.
Rubber Cat Dot Net - A very funny site, that will instantly appeal to folks with a bizarre sense of humour. Rubbercat.net is the home of many strange things, including Hog & Dog comics, and Red X Pavillion. Well worth checking out if you need a laugh.
FanFiction.net - A site that hosts quality fan-fiction, covering various topics from TV shows, to movies, to video games.

Useful Sites
Zone Labs - The home of the best software firewall money can buy, Zone Labs offers a free firewall called ZoneAlarm, which will help prevent your computer from being cracked, and can protect against some kinds of computer viruses by blocking the routes they use to spread. This is an ESSENTIAL download for anybody using a Windows-based computer to access the internet.
The home of Spybot-S&D! - On this site, you can download Spybot Search & Destroy, which is an essential tool for removing spyware from Windows-based systems, and keeping it under control. Weekly scans are recommended.
Lavasoft - This site offers the free tool, Ad-Aware, which is another essential tool in controlling the spyware epidemic that is plaguing a large number of Windows users. Best used in conjunction with Spybot S&D, weekly scans are recommended in order to help keep your system clean.
Avast Anti-Virus - A completely free anti-virus program, Avast will help to protect computers running Windows against viruses. A must-get if you aren't already using an anti-virus package (and you really should be). Again, weekly scans are recommended for your system's sake.
Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk - A world-reknowned online shopping site, Amazon sells books, video games, music, and (on it's US site) toys. This might be a good place to start if you're looking to buy any of the titles in the Croc series, or the strategy guides for them.
DaFONT.com - This is a font download site, with a great selection of free-for-personal-use fonts compatible with Mac OS X, Linux, Mac OS 9 and older, and Windows. Worth checking if you need good fonts for a printed assignment, or for image-making on a non-commercial website.
Photobucket.com - If you need free image-hosting for forum avatars or other images, this is the site to go to. There's plenty of picture storage space, and best of all, accounts are free!
The People's Sprites - A useful site featuring sprite-sheets ripped from many, many games, as well as game backgrounds, and a gallery for showing off custom-made sprites. This also happens to be the site where I submitted my rips from the Game Boy Color Croc games, which you can also see in the Gallery here.
The Shyguy Kingdom - Another site containing a good selection of sprites ripped from various games. Worth checking out, as they have some stuff that The People's Sprites doesn't.
Sprites Inc. - The best place to go for Rockman/Mega Man sprite-rips, bar none. A vast majority of games from the series are covered here, and you're almost certain to find what you're looking for.
